AINIAS SMITH

Football runs in the family when it comes to Texas A&M standout Ainias Smith. The younger brother of Tennessee Titans safety Maurice Smith was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. Playing for dulles High School he proved to be one of the best football players in the district, earning Overall MVP honors his senior year while dominating on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. During his freshman year with the Aggies Smith shined on special teams winning A&M’s Special Teams Newcomer, Impact and Strength awards. Smith was just getting started as the 2020 season saw the special teams standout emerge as a versatile offensive weapon. Starting all 10 games, rushing for 293 yards, receiving for 564 and scoring 10 touchdowns, Smith’s breakout season helped the Aggies win the Orange Bowl and saw Smith appear on the Hornung Award Watch List. Off the field, Smith remains a team player having pledged a percentage of his NIL profits to his teammates for the coming season at Kyle Field.
